Dr. Hilary Brown-Nixon, M.D., FACS, is a Board Certified and well-respected vascular surgeon. She is a Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, where she is a Consultant Surgeon at the University Hospital of the West Indies. She has published numerous articles in an array of prestigious medical journals, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery, the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, and the West Indian Medical Journal, and has presented at numerous conferences. Dr. Brown-Nixon is a founding partner of the Vein Centers of Jamaica, which specializes in minimally invasive vascular procedures. The Center has also launched a scholarship program to provide Jamaican medical students with mentoring and financial assistance at university.
Dr. Brown-Nixon holds an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science. She completed her training in General and Vascular Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine.
